Tutoring

As teachers and parents, we know how difficult it can be for students to learn in a traditional classroom environment: 1 teacher and up to 30 children receiving instruction from the same curriculum at the same time, regardless of individual differences.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made learning in this environment even more challenging as teachers are tasked with teaching a more diverse student population. A third-grade classroom can easily have students performing at any level between preschool and fourth grade while many high school students are testing grade levels below the national standard.

Teachers are overwhelmed and students are faced with instructional material that does not serve their needs. And, while efforts have been made to remedy this discrepancy through the use of small groups and differentiation strategies, these services are only guaranteed to students who are protected by special education laws.

Our children cannot wait years for research studies to tell us what we already know-ALL students need individualized instruction. They must be met “where they are” to ensure long-term academic growth.

Customized learning plans are the solution we need to help our children learn and thrive in any environment.

Whether your child is struggling, needs a little extra support, or wants to be challenged, we specialize in figuring out exactly what they need and designing a curriculum made just for them!

All tutoring plans follow these steps:

1:   Meet-and-greet with your child where we introduce ourselves and start to develop their learning profile.

2:   Consultation with you to discuss your concerns and our observations.
3:   Formal assessment and evaluation for tracking and instructional development.
4:   Personalized tutoring sessions with affordable rates begin!

Of course, much more happens behind the scenes! If you’d like to learn more about our program or need help deciding whether this is something your family needs, please contact us.
